Teheran the capital of Islamic Republic of Iran, stretching from snow foothills of Elbrus to warm waters of Caspian sea. Ancient ruins, magnificent statues, archeological excavations of ancient dynasties, majestic palaces, and wide range of museums.

Teheran consists of an old city (Southern Teheran) with labyrinths of narrow streets and crossroads with one or two-storeyed houses of eastern type and the new city (Northern Teheran)   resembling many European cities. Wide streets are designed with many-storeyed buildings of banks and of commercial and industrial companies, governmental institutions,  luxurious boutiques, hotels and restaurants and surrounded by many parks and  green zones.

Modern Teheran  is considered to be the political, economic, trade-financial and cultural centre of the country.
